Hotels accommodation and the provision of hospitality linen go as far back as biblical times. Since time immemorial people have always travelled for commerce, religion, family, health, immigration, education and recreation and have needed a room to sleep in when out of town.
From the small country Inn to the most expensive star hotels, the quality of the bedding and the hospitality linen has always been recognised to be key to this experience.
As accommodation needs increased, so did the need to provide hospitality linen on a larger scale. With the industrial revolution and the advent of the Spinning Jenny, cotton sheets became the norm as they are very much to this day in most hotels.
This new looms emerging from the industrial revolution allowed for an increase in production and quality. In fact the looms became more sophisticated as time went by, allowing for the weaving of much finer threads and the creation of higher percale cotton thread counts and ring spun yarns, now as high as 800/1000 per square inch! (Thanks to the air jet looms)

Today, hospitality linen is a key part of the hotel experience and with significant advances in technology only the highest quality is expected. From the use of long staple yarns from Egypt, upima yarns and bamboo, to the innovation of acorn technology (acorns close when wet and expand when dry allowing for improved absorption of perspiration and the permeation of it away from the fabric) the hospitality linen production process has never been better or more varied!
